GRUPPO EUROMOBIL AND ART | Tancredi Guidi Morandis Licata

'Tancredi, Guidi, Morandis, Licata. 4 Anniversari Spazialisti' is the title of the major exhibition curated by Giovanni Granzotto that the Municipality of Sacile (PN) and Studio d'Arte GR are organising from 21 September 2024 to 6 January 2025 in the historic Palazzo Ragazzoni.
2024 is a crucial year for the history of art, as it marks the anniversaries of the deaths of Tancredi Parmeggiani (1927-1964), Virgilio Guidi (1891-1984), Gino Morandis (1915-1994) and Riccardo Licata (1929-2014), four artists who marked a fundamental page in the history of Italian spatialism, later going their separate ways. The Sacile exhibition therefore wants to remember them all together, 60, 40, 30 and 10 years after their passing, presenting more than twenty works by each artist, among the most representative of each one's creative path. Tancredi's, who died very young in Rome in 1964, is very short, Licata's and Morandis' are longer, and Guidi's is even longer. It is above all an extract of Spatialist painting, because this was, in particular for Tancredi and Morandis, the heart of their experience; but there will also be, for Licata and Guidi, evidence of the subsequent trials of that extraordinary adventure. The exhibition will therefore cover about fifty years of great Italian painting, through the story in images of four of its protagonists.
The choice of the 16th-century Palazzo Ragazzoni as exhibition venue is particularly significant and evocative: it is in fact the only museum venue in Italy that has hosted anthological exhibitions of all four artists over time: of Virgilio Guidi in 1980, of Tancredi in 1991, of Gino Morandis in 1996 and of Riccardo Licata in 2003. Having undergone major restoration and redevelopment in recent years, the Palazzo now has a large, new wing exclusively for temporary exhibitions. The soundtrack of the exhibition, entitled ‘Spazio’, which will accompany visitors in their discovery of the works, bears the signature of the famous composer Pino Donaggio, collector and friend of the artists.
Main sponsor of the Sacile exhibition is Gruppo Euromobil with its three companies Euromobil, Desiree and Zalf. The initiative also sees the Orler TV group and Petrone Oleodinamica in partnership.
The exhibition will then have its ideal continuation and deepening in the one, with the same title, that will open on 22 November in Crocetta del Montello, in the Villa Ancilotto venue: taking its cue from the occasion of the four Spatialist anniversaries, the Crocetta exhibition, again curated by Giovanni Granzotto, proposes to further emphasise the commonality between the four masters, emphasising the elements of artistic syntony.
