Horacio Garcia Rossi was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, July 24, 1929. From 1950 to 1957 he attended the National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires where he later taught. It is during his studies he knows Demarco, Le Parc and Sobrino. From 1945 to 1958 participated in numerous group exhibitions in Argentina and Latin America. Since 1959 he settles and works in Paris where the following year he was co-founder of the Centre de Recherches d'Art Visual and later the GRAV (Groupe de Recherches d'Art Visual), the most important kinetic movement arose in Europe. After the more experimental approach of the sixties, in which the works can be manipulated by the public, the kinetic research of Garcia Rossi proceeds in an pictorial address of ambiguity and visual instability, focusing on the problem of color and light.
