MIRIAM MARAFIOTI WINS THE 2026 EDITION AT ARTVERONA

Gruppo Euromobil Under 35 Award goes to Miriam Marafioti, represented by Galleria Alessandro Bagnai, for her work Scheletrone industriale (notturno). 40 artists, 28 galleries and 52 works took part in this edition of the award, dedicated to supporting a new generation of artists.

Miriam Marafioti has been named the winner of Gruppo Euromobil Under 35 Award, the new acquisition prize established by Gruppo Euromobil in collaboration with ArtVerona and presented during the 21st edition of the fair.

The artist received the award for her work Scheletrone industriale (notturno), oil and acrylic markers on canvas, 140 × 120 cm, selected from 52 works by 40 artists under the age of 35, presented by 28 galleries participating in ArtVerona 2026.

The Award was established by brothers Gaspare, Antonio, Fiorenzo and Giancarlo Lucchetta to support younger generations and recognise an emerging artist for their ability to interpret the present through different forms of visual expression. Through this initiative, Gruppo Euromobil continues its involvement in the art world, which began in 1982 and has developed through direct relationships with artists and institutions, encompassing more than 600 initiatives promoted and supported over the past forty years.

The winner was selected by a jury chaired by Aldo Colonetti, philosopher, historian and design theorist, and comprising Michele Beraldo, art historian and critic; Roberto Gobbo, architect and coordinator of the Award; Dino Marangon, art historian and critic; Isabella Panfido, writer and journalist; and Gaspare, Antonio, Fiorenzo and Giancarlo Lucchetta, owners of Euromobil, Desirée and Zalf – Gruppo Euromobil.

“The jury unanimously decided to confer the Gruppo Euromobil Under 35 Award, dedicated to Carmelo Zotti, on Miriam Marafioti, represented by Galleria Alessandro Bagnai, recognising the refined technique employed in creating the work, which combines photography and painting to produce an image that is both complex and immediately accessible. An image that successfully brings together construction and a sense of the natural world,” reads the jury’s statement.

The 2026 edition of the Gruppo Euromobil Under 35 Award is dedicated to Carmelo Zotti, an artist with whom Gruppo Euromobil maintained a close relationship for over forty years and to whom the Group is paying tribute at ArtVerona with the exhibition Omaggio a Carmelo Zotti. Il maestro del realismo mitico (Tribute to Carmelo Zotti. The Master of Mythical Realism). This dedication establishes a symbolic connection between the support offered to younger generations today and the legacy of a master who, as a professor of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, played a significant role in the education of young artists.

The Award also marks a new phase in Gruppo Euromobil’s commitment to contemporary artistic practice. Rooted in the Lucchetta brothers’ passion for art, this longstanding commitment finds one of its most tangible expressions in supporting young artists: going beyond observing emerging artistic practices to actively contributing to their recognition and promotion. Gruppo Euromobil’s participation in ArtVerona 2026 thus forms part of a history in which art and design are regarded as elements of a shared cultural vision, capable of inspiring design thinking and offering new ways of understanding the present.
