FUKUSHIMA 131, ART, TECNOLOGY AND SOLIDARITY FOR JAPAN

The creative flair and explosive artist Marco Chiurato, experience and technology signed by a former cycling champion as Giovanni Battaglin: this is Fukushima 131, a bike unique in the world, founded by the talents of two marosticensi, common desire to do something concrete and symbolic at the same time for the people of Japan affected by the tsunami and the nuclear threat.

Thanks to the collaboration of Euromobil, who married this humanitarian cause by exposing the work to the recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan in 2011 and promoting communication, you will be able to auction Fukushima 131 to collect the money for Japan. Beyond the economic support, you can donate, this initiative aims to maintain a high level of public concern about the consequences that Japan is still experiencing a disaster environment, with particular reference to children.

A description of the work.
The red circle, which is located at the base, represents the Japanese flag but also, metaphorically, the area devastated and the pain of the people affected by the tsunami. The same red dot becomes visible on the bicycle frame, deformed by a force greater as that of nature.
The bike also brings a number, that of the "iodine 131", the looming threat of radioactivity on the population in Japan and is a warning to all humanity.
Fukushima 131 does not carry logos of any kind, only the signatures of Giovanni Battaglin and Marco Chiurato.

The proceeds from the sale of the bike will be delivered to the Italian Red Cross "Japan Pro emergency."
