The exhibition is the fourth and final event of the two-year cycle on Programmed and Kinetic Art unique to Veneto, provided the long-term program of contemporary art exhibitions at the Museum of Santa Caterina in Italy and launched in November 2006 with the biennial series of exhibitions on the Space Movement in Venice, entitled Spazialismi compared..
The current exhibition is divided into two sections. The first is dedicated to Edoer Agostini (1923-1986) with over thirty works, representative of his work in painting on the unlimited possibilities of combination of colors, laid in carefully studied geometrical structures, where the optical effects, perceived in a continuous dynamic relationship, are in the complex field of study of the phenomena of perceptual inconstancy. The works come from the collection of the study was to Agostini, now kept by his heirs, and private collections.
The other section twenty-nine collects the works of twenty artists exhibited in the various editions of the Biennale of Contemporary Art in San Martino di Lupari, in the province of Padua. Designed by Edoer Agostini, the event was promoted by him from 1971 to 1985, being the only two editions after his death carried out at irregular intervals. Among the authors present are members of the research groups and the kinetic and programmed art in Italy, Europe and South America, with players of world renown, including Julio Le Parc, won the Grand Prize for painting at the Venice Biennale. Other artists in the exhibition are Marina Apollonio, Angelo Bertolio, Alberto Biasi, Augustine Bonalumi, Sara Campesan, Franco Costalonga, Tonino Casula, Ennio Chiggio, Hugo Demarco, Ennio Finzi, Hans Jorg Glattfelder, Franco Grignani, Gaetano Kanizsa, Edoardo Landi Mazzonelli Diego, Aldo Mengolini, Marcello Morandini, Perusini Romano, Gaetano Pinna, Piero Risari, Horacio Garcia Rossi, Grazia Varisco, Villa Giorgio, Giorgio Zanoletti, Midget Zavagno. This selection of works is granted a loan from the Museum Umbro Apollonio di San Martino di Lupari that Edoer Agostini founded in 1981, raccogliendovi a hundred works left a gift from seventy-seven artists, many of international standing, still arranged in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall , pending a final location in appropriate areas.
The planning and implementation of this exhibition, curated - like its predecessors - by Elsa Dezuanni, art historian, and John Granzotto, art critic, is the Art Studio GR Sacile (Pordenone) in collaboration with the Municipality of Treviso, in coordination with the art critic Ennio Pouchard and the necessary sponsorship of Euromobil Group, Assicurazioni Generali / General Agency of Treviso and Editor GMV Books.
