14 January – 19 March 2006 | Museo di Santa Giulia
curated by M. Goldin
The exhibition brings together more than thirty of the most beautiful works of Filippo De Pisis (1896-1956), to witness a painting that is praise of beauty - represented in its essence, dramatic - and poetry. The poetry of the poor objects of daily use, empty shells, vegetables placed in a metaphysical atmosphere on the first floor of desert scenery. The style light, fast and shorthand remains one of his most characteristic figures, as you can see in all kinds that his painting has investigated and that the exhibition will present: from still lifes and landscapes, cityscapes, from gifts the great artists of the past with portraits and figures.
