He began painting as a child, and in Santo Domingo attended the School of Fine Arts. Then, thanks to a scholarship from the French government, he moved to the school of art and architecture in Marseille. After studying he comes back in Santo Domingo, where he taught for two years at the art school and at the university. After a second scholarship, he moved back to Paris, where he studied museology at Louvre and takes a high school diploma at the school of fine arts. Pimentel creates patches of color that bind to the concept of memory, turns on the canvas moments of thought and vision, implementing a fusion between reality and memory.
