Pablo Atchugarry

Pablo Atchugarry was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, August 23, 1954. The first solo exhibition took place in Montevideo in 1972 and two years later in Buenos Aires makes his first exhibition abroad. At the end of the seventies he made several study trips to Spain, France and then to Italy, where in 1978 he exhibited for the first time in Lecco. Since 1989 extrinsic his poetic sculptural monumental works, now placed in various public spaces in Europe and Latin America. In 1999 the Museum opened in Lecco the Museo Pablo Atchugarry. In Carrara, in July 2002, he received the prestigious "Premio Michelangelo" in recognition of his artistic career. In 2003 represents the Uruguay at the 50th Biennale Internazione d’Arte in Venice with the work "SoÅando la paz". And it is in that occasion that he will meet the Lucchetta brothers and which will come soon in friendship.
