Natalino Andolfatto

Natalino Andolfattowas born the 25th December 1933 in Pove del Grappa. 
In 1954 he attended the night school in the Rue Froment while from 1956 to 1960 studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under the guidance of Jansesse.
He began to exhibit participating in the great salons of Paris: Salon des Grandes et Jeunes d'Aujourd'hui, Salon de Mai, Salon des Nouvelles Réalités, up to the early editions of the 80s.
In 1962 he had his first group show at Gallery Hautefeuille, "Art construit" in Paris. 
He held his first solo exhibition at Galerie Lucien Durand, Paris, in 1966. Followed by other personal, always by Durand, in 1967 (with catalog essay by D. Chevalier) and 1970.
In 1967 he is invited to expose for the second time at Biennale of Paris. 
In 1968, he is invited by artists from Czechoslovakia, won the purchase prize at the Biennale in Bratislava in Czechoslovakia and always there he participates in two Symposia: Symposium of Vysni Ruzbachi and that of the Metal in Kosice, where the Museum acquired one of his sculptures.
The 1972 is the meeting with Bruno Lorenzelli and the beginning of a friendship that will result in the first solo of Andolfatto at Lorenzelli Gallery of Bergamo in 1975 (the text of the catalog is by G. Marchiori). 
Participate in 1975 at the XII Concorso Iternazionale del Bronzetto of Padua, where he won the first prize purchase. The same year he exhibited at the Galerie de France et Benelux in Brussels. 
In 1979 he held a solo exhibition at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza and a second at the Galleria Lorenzelli of Bergamo. 
Two solo exhibitions will open simultaneously in Milan in 1984; one at Lorenzelli Arte and one at the Stendhal Gallery. Presented by Lorenzelli, the work of Natalino Andolfatto begins to be exposed, from time to time, in major international exhibitions of contemporary art in the world. In the same year, one of the sculptures of Andolfatto becomes part of the permanent collection of the CIMAC in Milan.
In 1999, eleven sculptures and two drawings by the artist, dated between 1960 and 1993, become part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Ostend.
Tra il 2001 e il 2002 il Comune di Bassano del Grappa celebra Natalino Andolfatto dedicandogli un'ampia antologica presso il Chiostro del Museo e a Palazzo Agostinelli.
