Alberto Gianquinto

Alberto Gianquinto was born in Venice in 1929. Started the activity in the early fifties in the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice, obtaining the First Prize for Painting in 1954 and 1958.
Solo expositions are held in a Venezia, Milano, Roma, Treviso, Trieste, Modena, Parma, Vicenza, Firenze, Matera, Brescia, Pescara, Bologna, Alessandria, Pordenone, Torino, Tolentino, Catania, Verona, Castelfranco Veneto (Teatro Accademico), Conegliano (Palazzo Sarcinelli), Reggio Emilia, Ortona (Museo di Palazzo Farnese), Carpi (Museo di Palazzo Pio),Palermo, Venezia (Museo Correr).
Participates in major international exhibitions of art and in particular the Rome Quadriennale in 1959, 1965, 1969 and 1987, and at the Venice Biennale in 1956, 1962 (with a group of works) and in 1978 with a solo.
Many of his works are now part of important public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
Gianquint died in Jesolo (Venezia) in 2003
