Gruppo Euromobil, leader in the field of furnishing systems and complementary items, is working with Artefiera also for the 2013 edition of the International Exhibition of Contemporary Art. The group has been the main sponsor since the beginning, at the same time promoting the “Gruppo Euromobil under 30 Award”, an important acknowledgement for artists under the age of 30 who have works on display in the art galleries exhibiting at Artefiera.
The award consists of the purchase of the work of art and is assigned by a panel of judges made up of experts and the Group owners, who have always paid attention to the ideas and novelties inherent in contemporary art. The 2012 award was won by artist Nebojša Despotović, whereas the previous editions went to: 5th edition Italo-Lybian artist Adelita Husni-Bey, 4th edition Rob Sherwood, English, 3rd edition German artist Lars Teichmann, 2nd edition Paolo Maggis, Italian, and the 1st edition to artist Jakub Nepraš, Czech Republic.
The award ceremony for the seventh edition will take place on Saturday 26 January at 4.00 p.m., in Hall 25, Gruppo Euromobil Area “i Luoghi dell’arte, i Luoghi del design” (Art Space, Design Space). The jury will comprise: Gaspare, Antonio, Fiorenzo and Giancarlo Lucchetta, owners of the Gruppo Euromobil and art collectors, Giorgio Verzotti and Claudio Spadoni, Artistic Directors of Artefiera, Beatrice Buscaroli, art critic, Aldo Colonetti IED Scientific Director and Cleto Munari, designer. Architect Roberto Gobbo will be Secretary to the Judges.
In the Gruppo Euromobil’s installation “Art Space, Design Space”, designed by Roberto Gobbo in collaboration with the BAM communications studio, ten theme totems arranged along a strictly perpendicular path will narrate in full detail the important project of this Veneto group in the art world. So far the Group has supported, promoted or sponsored over four hundred exhibitions in an extraordinary project that has involved some of the world’s most prestigious art galleries.
The installation will also commemorate not only the past editions of the “Gruppo Euromobil under 30 Award”, but also its most recent experiences: the important Vicenza exhibitions at the Basilica Palladiana, from Raffaello to Picasso, Pasolini and Zigaina at the Fondazione Guardini in Berlin, Alessandro Verdi at the Milan Mudima Association and at the Hamburgher Banhof in Berlin, Guidi at Villa Contarini and Zotti at the Treviso Santa Caterina Museum.
A selection of the Group’s products from the latest collections will be used to furnish a rest area for visitors.
Throughout the period of Artefiera the installation will be a meeting point for artists, critics and art lovers, who will be welcomed by the Lucchetta brothers.
